Taylor St. Laurent
My name is Taylor St Laurent and I’m a fourth year undergraduate student with a Major in Political Science and Minor in Law and Society. I joined the UBC Pre-Law Association to gain more knowledge about pursuing a career in law and to meet other students who shared similar interests. I was also drawn to the club’s long-standing support of the UBC Innocence Project through fundraising initiatives, which I was able to have a hand in within the fundraising department the past two years. Currently, I’m interested in pursuing a career in private practice with a specialization in Wills and Estates Law. A fun fact about me is that I’ve lived in Vancouver, Ottawa, and Montreal! This year I’m most excited about connecting with new and returning pre-law members, and creating a more closest knit community through both social and academic events.

Aadil Monir
Aadil is a fourth-year Philosophy and Political Science student at UBC and serves as Co-President of the UBC Pre-Law Association. Having worked across six different roles in the association, he managed key operations and built partnerships with groups like the UBC Debate Society, bGuiled, and the Indigenous Business Association. Outside of Pre-Law, Aadil interns at Parr Business Law, focusing on estate law writing. He has also coached over 25 students for the 2025 UBC Moot Court Championship following his own 2024 victory. Looking ahead, he aims to pursue a career in legal negotiation. In his free time, Aadil enjoys playing tennis and is always open to movie or series recommendations – you know where to find him.

Daniel Sul
Hey everyone, I’m Daniel, your VP External for the year. I first joined the Pre-Law Association in my first year, where I served as Executive Assistant for the previous exec team. Outside of Pre-Law, I’m also the AVP of Administration & Operations for the Arts Undergraduate Society and part of the Events team for UBC Electronica. Long-term, I’m hoping to practice either sports or corporate law, with the goal of getting into law school without taking two gap years. So, naturally, the next few years are going to be pretty busy. This year, I’m especially fired up to expand our off-campus programming, including bringing in a more diverse range of law firms for visits and exploring opportunities to expand our reach beyond UBC. Fun fact: I’m a huge golf guy.

Alina Wang
Alina is a third year Political Science major with a minor in French Languages, Literature and Cultures. She served as the External Relations On-Campus Coordinator last year, planning panels, conducting outreach and liaising between UBC students and the broader legal community. As Vice President External this year, she is most excited to run and expand the Allard x UBC Pre-Law Mentorship Program, connecting aspiring law students to valuable resources and networking opportunities. Outside of Pre-Law, she is involved in the UBC community as a Pilates Instructor and Residence Advisor. She enjoys long walks, bike rides, solo travel, and playing music.

Lily Deek
Lily Deek is a 3rd year Political Science student minoring in Law and Society at the University of British Columbia. She became a member of UBC Pre-Law in her first year and has since been keen on ensuring students across campus know about the club and all it has to offer. Lily’s interest in pursuing a career in law began in her early high school years and she is most drawn to the area of Wills & Estate law. As a former Marketing Executive for the local NPO T2SA and her high-school’s UNICEF club, Lily was thrilled to step into the role of VP Marketing for the 2026/2027 academic year. Lily is a British Canadian dual citizen and fluent in French. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her younger siblings, and advocating for causes that are important to her.

Tianna Le
I’m a Political Science major and Commerce minor, hoping to pursue a career in corporate and social impact law. I joined the UBC Pre-Law Association for its strong network within the legal field and opportunities to gain valuable insights and experience related to law. As part of the team, I’m excited to work on marketing initiatives this year that showcase more of our personality, strengthen our connection with members, and make the club feel more welcoming and approachable. A fun fact about me is that I love to dance! My favourite styles are hip-hop, heels, and K-pop.

Lauren Aluyi
Lauren is a second year student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Law & Society, hoping to one day become a prosecutor. This is her first year on the executive team, serving as the VP Internal, where she is excited to be apart of the behind the scenes work of the UBC Pre-Law Association. Outside of Pre-Law, she is a high school basketball coach and member of Kappa Alpha Theta, where she is part of a close-knit sisterhood and gets to connect with other women who share the same values and interests. Lauren is looking forward to getting to know and working alongside some amazing new people, as well as the end of year Wine and Cheese Night! In her free time, Lauren loves to spend time with her friends, go on walks or hikes, go to concerts, and binge a ton of crime shows. A fun fact about her is that she used to do pottery and played basketball all throughout high school and hopes to pick them both up again soon while in university!

Eric Jin
I’m Eric, a final-year Political Science student with a Commerce minor, and I’m co-leading Events this year alongside Mauricio. I joined UBC Pre-Law because I wanted a community of people who were as curious about law as I was, and I’ve loved helping build a space where members can meet lawyers, ask questions, and get to know each other. This year, I’m most excited to run a full calendar of events, from socials to career nights, that gives our members real connections. I’m most interested in sports law, especially hockey, and hope to be a player agent someday as well. Fun fact: I grew up in China and speak Mandarin, and I now coach youth hockey with the Vancouver Thunderbirds. I’m also a die-hard Canucks and Patriots fan… I love Drake Maye.

Hey everyone! I’m Mauricio, a third-year accounting student and this year’s VP Events. I initially joined UBC Pre-Law just looking to connect with other people interested in law, and now I get to help bring our events to life alongside an awesome team. Down the road, I want to combine my accounting background with corporate law, specifically in Mergers & Acquisitions, and eventually tackle the LSAT next fall. Most of all, I’m just really excited to put on some great events this year and get to know all of you! Fun fact about me: I’m a triplet!

Joanna is from Vancouver Island and is in her fourth year, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Law and Society. Roen Robinson
I’m Roen, your VP Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the 2026/27 year. I joined UBC Pre-Law to make friends and get more involved with fellow Arts students, and it’s been a great way to connect with people who share similar interests and goals. As VP DEI, I’m particularly interested in human rights and international law. This year, I’m most excited for our Order in the Pub debate event — it’s always such a fun, entertaining night, and I can’t wait to see everyone get into it.

Krishni Malhotra
Hey! I’m Krishni, a 4th year Psychology student, with a minor in Law and Society. I am from Edmonton and this would be my second year with the Pre Law Association. I joined Pre Law due to my passion for the Innocence Project and equitable access to justice. This upcoming year, I am incredibly excited for our fundraising events – especially the ones in second semester. Aside from school, I thoroughly enjoy being outside in nature, watching my favourite TV shows, doing arts and crafts, and cooking.

Sydney Harland
Sydney Harland is a third-year UBC Sauder student specializing in Business Technology management, with a minor in Business Law. This is her first year on the executive team, serving as one of the Executive Assistants for the year. She is excited to help plan events that help the journey to law school feel less daunting for the Association’s members, as she was once in a similar position, feeling overwhelmed at the thought of pursuing law. She is most interested in Intellectual Property law, and is looking forward to collaborating alongside the rest of the Pre-Law team and its members this year.

Samuel Lawrence
My name is Samuel Lawrence and I’m a third-year International Relations student at UBC. I joined the Pre-Law Association because of my passion for law and my desire to be part of a community where students actively support one another in pursuing their academic career goals. Alongside Pre-Law, I’m also involved with UBC Electronica, where you might find me DJing at one of our events. I am particularly interested in international law and the legal frameworks which govern interactions between states. Looking ahead, I’m interested in furthering my law studies along the East Coast, especially considering the proximity to Canada’s Parliament and the opportunities to engage with the intersection of law and government. As an executive this year, I’m especially excited for Order in the Pub and getting to watch students tackle legal arguments and debates. Fun fact: I once did a handstand on the Golden Gate Bridge!
