For the 2025/2026 school year, we’re proud to introduce this year’s executive team — a dynamic group of students dedicated to supporting and empowering the undergraduate class. This year also marks the introduction of the VP DEI role, reflecting our ongoing commitment to fostering a more inclusive and equitable community. We’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead and can’t wait to see you at our events!

Co-President
John Natcher
My name is John Natcher, and I’m currently serving as Co-President of the UBC Pre-Law Association alongside Ava Bush. This marks my third consecutive year with the club, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch it grow year after year. I’m entering my fourth year at UBC, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a Double Major in Political Science and International Relations. Throughout my time here, I’ve developed a strong interest in Arctic law, northern governance, and sustainable development. In addition to my work with Pre-Law, I’ll also be serving as one of UBC’s Sustainability Ambassadors this year—an opportunity I’m excited about, as it’ll expand my perspective on environmental advocacy. Over the past two summers, I’ve worked in Bodø, Norway, and Rovaniemi, Finland, contributing to research on Arctic resilience, business development in the High North, and, most recently, the rising legal tensions between Indigenous communities and critical mineral extraction projects.

Co-President
Ava Bush
Ava is a fourth-year Environmental Science major with a minor in Sustainability Sciences. After attending Admissions Night as a first-year student, she knew she wanted to become more involved in the incredible UBC Pre-Law community. Since then, she’s grown from general member to Fundraising Coordinator to VP Sponsorship—and is now thrilled to step into the role of Co-President! She has spent the last year studying abroad at the University of Copenhagen, participated in a course on microplastic policy at the University of Geneva, and joined a research excursion on analytical chemistry at Sorbonne University in Paris. After living her European dreams, she’s excited to return to UBC for her final year of studies before continuing to law school, where she hopes to pursue a career in energy and climate law. This year, Ava is especially looking forward to building community within Pre-Law through LSAT study sessions, the mentorship program, and new partnerships that will support and connect future law students.

VP External
Julia Pidutti
Julia Pidutti is a 4th year student in the Dual BA with Sciences Po and UBC. At UBC, Julia is majoring in International Relations and minoring in Economics. This is Julia’s second year engaging in the Pre-Law Association, first joining as a Coordinator for the External Relations Committee. This year, Julia is most excited to launch the Mentorship program, pairing Pre-Law members with Allard Law Students.

VP Internal
Aadil Monir
Aadil is a third-year Political Science and Philosophy student at UBC, currently serving as VP Internal of the UBC Pre-Law Association. He previously led the Association’s legal journal as Editor-in-Chief, overseeing five volumes and publishing seven articles, including a collaboration with the UBC Innocence Project. Outside of Pre-Law, Aadil interns at Parr Business Law, where he contributes to legal blog content. After winning the 2024 UBC Moot Court Championship, he went on to mentor over 25 students in moot court, one of whom earned a major award. He now aims to pursue a future career in negotiation and mediation.

VP Finance
Ben Wilson
Ben Wilson is a fourth-year student in the Bachelor of Commerce program at UBC, specializing in Accounting. This is his second year with Pre-Law, where he’s excited to help create more engaging events and networking opportunities for aspiring law students. Outside of Pre-Law, Ben is involved with the UBC Rotaract by volunteering to go to local schools and talk about life at UBC Sauder! Originally from Edmonton, AB, he enjoys skiing Whistler, and playing every sport he can. In his free time, Ben loves reading, playing piano, and going out with my friends. A fun fact about him: he was once a Connor Bedard pokechekee.

VP Events
Eric Jin
Eric is a third-year student at UBC majoring in Political Science with a minor in Commerce. This is his second year with the UBC Pre-Law Association, where he previously served as the Opportunity Coordinator. That role deepened his interest in the legal field and helped him connect with law firms and courts in the Lower Mainland. Outside of Pre-Law, Eric has a strong passion for sports, especially hockey and golf. This passion fuels his dream of becoming a corporate lawyer representing athletes, whether in legal disputes or as a sports agent negotiating contracts. As the current VP of Events, Eric is most excited to help organize engaging events for the Pre-Law community, including the Welcome to Pre-Law Social, Law School Admissions Night, and the signature Wine and Cheese Night. He looks forward to creating spaces for students to explore legal careers, network, and build lasting connections.

VP Events
Patrick McCullough
Patrick McCullough is a rising fourth-year student from Mukilteo, Washington, currently pursuing a degree in Political Science through the Faculty of Arts. With aspirations of becoming an attorney, Patrick is deeply committed to developing the skills and experiences that will support his future legal career. During his third year, Patrick served as an Executive Assistant for the club, a role that equipped him with valuable organizational and leadership experience. He believes this experience has thoroughly prepared him to take on the position of Vice President of Events in the upcoming year. Patrick is enthusiastic about collaborating with a talented team of peers on a variety of initiatives and campaigns, and he looks forward to contributing to one of the club’s most successful years yet.

VP Marketing
Haley Kliem
Haley is a fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce student from Vaughan, Ontario, specializing in accounting with a focus on business law. She’s been involved with UBC Pre-Law every year since starting at UBC and is now entering her third year as VP Marketing. Outside of Pre-Law, she’s a member of the varsity women’s rowing team. This year, she’s especially excited for Admissions Night, as she plans to apply to law school in the fall. She’s also looking forward to expanding the marketing team and seeing what they can accomplish together. A fun fact about Haley is that she thinks everyone should be following @ubcprelaw on Instagram.

VP Marketing
Makayla Birch
Makayla Birch is a third-year Psychology student with a focus on business and marketing. She is currently serving her second year on the executive board of the Pre-Law Association as Vice President of Marketing. Makayla first joined the club in 2023 to explore her interest in the legal field and connect with students pursuing similar goals. This year, she is excited to lead the club’s creative direction and help strengthen its outreach through visual content and strategic communications. Outside of Pre-Law, Makayla is especially interested in how psychology, advocacy, and design intersect, and she hopes to bring these elements together in a future career in criminal law.

VP Sponsorship
Maullick Seth
Maullick is a fourth-year Political Science student at UBC and currently serves as the Vice President of Sponsorship and Partnerships for the Pre-Law Association. In this role, he leads the development of meaningful collaborations with law firms, organizations, and campus partners to support student programming and legal opportunities. Previously, Maullick was a key member of the Undergraduate Opportunity Directory Committee (UODC), where he helped curate resources and opportunities for students. His commitment to advocacy is rooted in a desire to understand the complex intersections of society, politics, and crime — and how these forces shape law, justice, and systemic inequality. With a deep interest in litigation, Maullick aspires to become a lawyer who defends and empowers marginalized communities.

VP Fundraising
Taylor St Laurent
Taylor is in her third year majoring in Political Science and minoring in Law and Society. She has been involved in the UBC Pre-Law Association for a year now and is excited for her second year with the club! She most looks forward to the club social where she can meet more like-minded people who are interested in pursuing a career in law, as well as the fun fundraising events that will be organized this year. A fun fact about Taylor is that she has lived in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec, but B.C. is her favourite place by far because of the mountains and ocean!

VP Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
Sarah Lennon
Hello! My name is Sarah, and I’m specializing in Sociology and Latin American Studies. This will be my second year involved with both the Pre-Law Society and the DEI Committee, where I’m excited to serve a second term! A fun fact about me: I was born in Ireland and raised in England for the first ten formative years of my life. I’ve lived in four countries, and both Mississauga and the UK are places I still consider home. I love reading, learning languages, meeting new people, and helping connect others. One of my main goals for Pre-Law this year is to help make the study and career of law more accessible and digestible for all students and peers.

Executive Assistant
Daniel Sul
Hello! I’m Daniel, one of your Executive Assistants for the 2025/26 year. I was born in South Korea but immigrated to Canada back in 2010. I grew up on Vancouver Island — and no, I’ve never seen a whale. I’ll be starting my second year in the Faculty of Arts, hoping to pursue a Dual Major in International Relations and Political Science, with a Minor in Law and Society. In a few years, I hope to see myself in Law School, following in the footsteps of Harvey Specter. If that doesn’t work out, you might catch me in intramurals, scoring hat tricks on the opposition. This will be my first formal year with the UBC Pre-Law Association; however, you might have caught glimpses of me at our events last year. I’m currently volunteering with the AMS Food Bank, have staffed a few MUNSA conferences, and am a member of the PSSA. You might also recognize me as your Orientation Leader this past September!

Executive Assistant
Carter Poittris
Carter Poittris is a second-year Political Science student with plans to minor in Law and Society. He currently holds executive roles in several campus organizations, serving as Executive Assistant for the Pre-Law Association and Internal for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club. This is his second year as a Pre-Law Association member, and first year as an executive. Additionally, he collaborated with government officials and contractors in the organization of the 2025 G7 summit, which took place in his home province of Alberta. Carter has a strong interest in criminal law and aspires to pursue a career in the legal field as an attorney. He looks forward to an exciting and productive year collaborating with fellow members of the Pre-Law Association.
